[Poem] 250 from 1776

 by Emmit Other

Sitting here celebrating 250

By listening to Hamilton

Its not politics

Its beyond that

In 1776

They didnt know about

1789

We had a good run

And then our heart broke

And we swallowed our shadow

I have been a prophet in the wilderness

Calling out Big Tech and Big Fascism

And now my voice is but one in a chorus

Hear me now then

The players now will be in a history book

Whether that is apdf in your compliance chip

Screaming an 8 minute hate into the telescreen

Or a barouqe hand crafted organic tome

Under lights powered by solar

In a warm tropical sky where climate is controlled

Like the themostat in your room

Depends on the people you least want to decide it

But I still believe in Stark Trek Solarpunk Utopia

I still believethe right can prevail

But only

If Good stops being

Kind of Dumb
