[Script] FULL Parts is Part Act 1 Scene 1

INT - DEKKER’S ROOM
Dekker is asleep in his suit on the bed. Empty bottles of beer and wine and liquor surround the bed while the bed itself is pristine. Pictures of his family line the walls.

PHONE - CLOSE UP
TEXT MESSAGE
Get your ass up and find him.
(beat)
Or you’re fired.

CLOSE UP OF DECKER’S FACE
Dekker shudders and groans.

DEKKER (VO)
I want to tell you that this is about the evidence.

INT-DEKKER'S ROOM - WIDE SHOT
He slowly starts to get up.  He picks up his phone and looks at it a moment.

DEKKER (VO)
But that would be a lie.

PHONE - CLOSE UP
Decker starts to type

TEXT MESSAGE
Eat shit and die.

INT-DEKKER'S ROOM - WIDE SHOT
Dekker looks at the phone.

CLOSE UP OF DEKKER'S FACE
His eyes look like he wants to do something but he just can't do it.

PHONE-CLOSE UP
Dekker's thumb lingers on the send button.

DEKKER (VO)
Having morals sucks.
(beat)
Especially if you are a cop.

PHONE-CLOSE UP
Dekker deletes the message and does not send it.

INT-DEKKER's ROOM - WIDE SHOT
Decker stumbles into the bathroom and turns on the shower.
