[Poem] Sometimes It Isnt Enough

Sometimes the good guys lose

And sometimes you do everything you can

And burn the candle at both ends

And find new ways to cut the knot

More than you ever have before

Longer days and more doors knocked

And sometimes

It is still not enough

We all have a breaking point

And you can blame invisible powers

Or harmful prayers that pretend to help

Or blood curses

Or the stars

Or even your own damn self

And sometimes you can defy the odds over and over again

But there is one reaper who always wins

For there will be death

Long after there is taxes

And in the end

It isnt what you do

But what you tried that matters

And your own standard you chose

And I ahve done my best

And will until the last tick of the clock
